The Student Theatre of the Latvia University of Agriculture was founded in 1946. It is one of the oldest student theatres in Latvia, where well known contributots to the Latvian theatre have worked, for example, Pēteris Lucis, Kārlis Pamse, Vera Singajevska, Andris Merkmanis and others. It is the only theatre with a unique theatre house and the historic art space – THE LIVING-ROOM OF MELPOMENE.

Jelgava is considered as the native country of Theatre Sports from the very dawn of the Improvisation Theatre in Latvia, thus indirectly continuing along A. Alunan's path. LULST (ex. LLA) Student Theatre - a place, where the theatre spirit dwells and plays Theatre Sports even after high school.

At the Student Theatre of Jelgava, visitors can meet a double of Jēkabs Ceriņš, who tends to come to life.
