The library holds the only hall of Krišjānis Barons in Latvia with the wall paintings of the artist Andrejs Zvejnieks and stained-glass windows, the work of the old master of stained glass art – Estere Bormane. The hall was made in the library in 1985. Krišjānis Barons is at the centre of the paintings of Barons' hall and is surrounded by 10 more paintings reflecting the human life through Latvian folk songs. The hall has been renovated in 2018 and is open for visitors again. Krišjānis Barons was a Latvian folklorist, writer and journalist, one of the significant national identity symbols to every Latvian.
The library offers free thematic excursions and library lessons to children, school children, students and adults on topics of the world of books, history of the library building, history of the municipality and much else, providing education and entertainment to everyone. Length of excursions and library lessons is up to one hour.
