From October 11 to 19 Autumn Restaurant Week in the Jelgava Region

All gourmets and food lovers, get ready – “Autumn Delights days in Jelgava region” are here!

From October 11 to 19, restaurants and cafés in Jelgava and Jelgava County will offer special gourmet meals made from seasonal autumn produce. For nine days, 16 restaurants, cafés, pubs, and pastry shops will welcome guests with the shared motto “Taste the Autumn”, presenting new variations of dishes and flavors.

 

In Jelgava, autumn-inspired meals will be served at restaurants “8.stāvs”, “Pilsētas Elpa”, “Chocolate & Pepper”, Grill Bar & Restaurant “Parks”, pub “Istaba”, bistro and pastry shop “Silva”, café/bar “Jelgavas Ezītis miglā”, Silva Tea House, and Noliktava Nr.2.

Meanwhile, in Jelgava County, guests will be welcomed at Agate Hotel Restaurant, Pūteļkrogs, Masti Grill&Chill, Aitiņlauvas, café/bar Meka, café Svētes Klubs, and Branku Brančotava.

The “Autumn Delights days in Jelgava region” campaign continues the tradition of offering locals and visitors the chance to discover – or rediscover – the diversity of Jelgava’s dining establishments. Menus will feature dishes inspired by the season, with ingredients sourced from the land, forest, and water, allowing guests to enjoy creations not usually found on the everyday menu.

Among the dishes featured on the Autumn Delights menus are: crayfish salad with avocado, quail eggs, saffron mayonnaise, and red caviar; creamy autumn mushroom soup with truffle oil and crushed hazelnuts; lamb kharcho soup with baked tortilla chips and goat cheese; slow-cooked beef cheeks served with pomegranate-wine sauce, parsnip-spinach purée, and fresh salad; veal stew with seasonal vegetables and chanterelles foraged in local forests; ravioli with smoked salmon, dill, and quince; grilled wild venison roast with potato gratin and lingonberry chutney; chocolate-pumpkin cake; wild berry sorbet; apple and pear tartlet with lavender-vanilla cream; carrot cake – and many other treats.

The “Autumn Delights days” restaurant opening hours will soon be available at www.visit.jelgava.lv, on Visit Jelgava Facebook and Instagram profiles, and on the Taste Jelgava Facebook page and website www.tastejelgava.lv.

Guests are encouraged to reserve tables in advance to ensure they can enjoy the prepared menus. Please note that some establishments will serve special meals only on specific days. For example, Branku Brančotava will welcome guests on October 18, Svētes Klubs café will serve its special menu from October 13 to 18, and Bistro Silva from October 13 to 17. Also note that 8.stāvs restaurant is open from Tuesday to Sunday, while Noliktava Nr.2 is open from Tuesday to Saturday.

The Autumn Delights days in Jelgava region take place twice a year – in spring and autumn. The event is organized by the Jelgava Regional Tourism Center, in cooperation with Jelgava City, Jelgava County, the Jelgava Catering and Hospitality Association, and local dining establishments.
