POSTPONED: Jelgava Night Half Marathon moved to September 5

After reviewing the weather forecasts, the organizers, responsible authorities, and the municipality have decided to postpone the Jelgava Night Half Marathon, originally planned for August 22, to September 5.

Due to the orange weather warning issued by the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre for August 22, and with participants’ safety in mind, the decision has been made to postpone the Jelgava Night Half Marathon to September 5.

It should be noted that on Saturday, August 22, prolonged and heavy, locally very heavy rain is expected in many parts of the country. Thunderstorms are also expected, bringing intense downpours and sudden wind gusts of up to 20–24 metres per second. The wind gusts pose the greatest safety risks.
