Tourist Map “Reclaimed History in Zemgale and Northern Lithuania. What was Once Lost is Available Again.”

Zemgale Planning Region, in cooperation with tourism information centres and partners in Latvia and Northern Lithuania, has created a new tourism map “Recovered History in Zemgale and Northern Lithuania. What was Once Lost is Available Again.”. It offers a unique opportunity to explore the cultural heritage of the region through digital solutions that bring preserved, as well as lost sites, to life.

Would you like to see Iecava Manor again or Akmene Synagogue, which no longer exists in nature? Or experience a digital projection at Lielplatone Manor, which creates the visual image with the music of Ferenc Liszt being played on piano, thus contributing to a special 19th-century atmosphere? Or, perhaps – meet the ghost of Gārsene Castle – the Blue Lady – or take a virtual walk through the old town and manor of Rokiškis?

All of this is possible now thanks to the new tourism map “Reclaimed History in Zemgale and Northern Lithuania”, which offers a unique opportunity to explore the cultural heritage of the region – including preserved, as well as lost sites. Digital solutions enable visitors to travel back in time, see what ancient buildings looked like in the past, and discover their stories.

The new tourism map allows everyone to create their own personal itinerary and experience an interactive, fascinating journey into the past at any time. Start your digital adventure and discover the rich tourism offer of Zemgale and Northern Lithuania!
