Come and enjoy the walking trails through Zaļenieki Manor park, that have been supplemented with information stands. While having a break in nature, learn about some of our unusual trees and some very old and noble trees of the park.
The Barona trail of Vilce Nature Park has been included in the project Natura 2000. The nature park is a great place to spend time outdoors, walking, taking in the scenery, enjoying the wildlife - seeing animals and animal footprints. There is a beautiful place where two rivers - Vilce and Rukuze overflow. On the shore of the Rukuze you can observe sandstone cliffs; and when you need to quench your thirst, stop by the spring of Lielmāte.
The nature trail along the bank of the river Auce is 1.5 km long. Here you can stop for a picnic and enjoy swimming. The trail incldes a watchtower that provides good view for bird watchers. It is an excellent choice for fishing.
There are floodland meadows on the island behind Jelgava Palace: more than 80 wild horses are grazing there. These meadows are listed as a Natura 2000 site, a part of the European specially protected nature territory, due to the diversity of rare bird and plant species.
The Territory of Zoo Lauku sēta is a place to enjoy quiet and peaceful walks, visit animals living and grazing in the meadows. Animal feeding is prohibited. Animal feeding and animal amusements are possible ONLY during guided tours by the farm owner, who provides special food that can be given to the animals.The amusement programme includes watching and bottle-feeding piglets, horse dancing, treating llama to some delicious treats and other fun activities.

Our farmhouse Līcīši is situated on a very beautiful place – surrounded by Misa river and forests, so we are welcome groups of tourists and families who wish to spend a nice holidays.
On the farm visitors can learn about the whole process of goat milk farming, see the goats on the farm and at the end of the visit - taste various goat milk products.
The tree nursery in Zalenieki was established in 1995. It is a modern growing enterprise with a total area is 20 hectares. Currently the production area is 16 hectares; wher we grow 800 varieties of plants. We also offer tours of our beautiful arboretum and modern tree nursery. Here, you can get a consultations on plant cultivation and garden planting.
The monument, which is situated in the Station Square, was unveiled on November 21, 1992. The author of the monument is sculptor Andrejs Jansons who restored the monument Bear-slayer (Lāčplēsis) and the Dark Knight created by his father Kārlis Jansons in 1932 by support of public donations.
The monument to Jānis Čakste, the first President of the Republic of Latvia. It is next to the Tower of the Holy Trinity Church. It was unveiled on November 14, 2003; the author - sculptor Arta Dumpe.
The monument is devoted to the founder of the Latvian theatre, Ādolfs Alunāns, was was buried in Alunāns park, the former Jāņa cemetery.
