The stone church was built in 1633 to replace the original wooden church that was built in 1567 by order of Gotthard Kettler, the Duke of Courland. The church has typical features of a church of Courland: a rather modest exterior, but much decorated interior with an emphasis on the altar. Extensive renovation works were carried out in 1855 when the church acquired its current appearance. In the church, you can see J. Deering's altar painting The Ascension of Christ (1860) and the organ with 25 registers that was built by A. Martin in 1860.
The commemorative site was unveiled on June 14, 1989, to remember those citizens of Jelgava who suffered or died during the Soviet genocide against the Latvian people.

In 1869, by the design of the Russian governor's architect Nikolay Gusevich, a stone church was constructed in Dalbe with a tower on a pediment. The bell of the tower was cast in 1927. The church was built from torn rocks, and is one of the most remarkable examples of late 19th-century neo-gothic style in Zemgale. There are gothic rose windows, masverk ornamentation, cymbals and other neo-gothic elements. The church has remained unharmed throughout history, however four prior wooden churches have not. The altar painting Bless the Children of Christ by August Annus was consecrated in 1926. Above the entrance there is an organ louver supported by massive square boulders. The organ was made by Friedrich Veisenborn in 1870. The sacristy is decorated by a large painting The last supper, donated by the late churchwarden A. Freimanis in 1975. There are three volumes of church books preserved until nowadays, for the period from 1717 to 1847. They provide information about church pastors, names of donors, births, weddings, etc.

By the order of the Duke of Gothard Kettler, around 1571 Zaļenieki Lutheran Church was built to replace the Catholic Chapel. The current masonry building was completed in 1872. The dark oak interior creates very interesting and peculiar acoustics - sounds do not flow as in churches with high ceiling vaults, but they somehow get absorbed by the wooden boards. The old organ has been preserved in the church, which was built by P.K. Hermanis in 1862. The altar of the church is composed of the elevation decorated with a cross and candlelights and the altar painting by J.Hinner (1873). Next to the church is a cemetery for the WWI soldiers. The bell of the church tower is the largest in Jelgava County.

The oldest stone building in Jelgava county - it was built in 1595. The church suffered heavily in World War II. The items of artistic value which had survived were transported to the Rundale Palace Museum in the 70s of the 20th century. The interior of the church has been renovated for several times. Next to the church is the final resting place for Juris Alunāns (1832-1864) - a poet, the founder of the Latvian national poetry and public worker.

The church was built in 1684 from logs and covered with planks in the 19th century. It used to be a Lutheran church until 1729 when the baron of Līvbērze Manor - Lieven married a Polish Countess and adopted the Catholic faith.

The construction of Orthodox monastery was initiated in 1897, when six sisters arrived from the monastery in Rīga and settled down in a small wooden house. Afterwards they built one church with the assistance of Kalnciems factory workers, then the second church in 1909. The monastery survived World War I and World War II, but many fallen soldiers were buried in the territory of the monastery, marked by old crosses at their burial places.

The manor complex was designed in the beginning of the 19th century in the style of the Classicism after the order of Duke Christoph Johann Friedrich von Medem. It its days it was a magnificent building with exquisite interior style. The buildings were destroyed during World War I in 1915.
